If you are a new undergraduate or postgraduate student, you will have been pre-registered with the University Library and so don't need to do anything else to join it. You may also have been pre-registered with your faculty or departmental library and with your college library. You will need to bring your University Card with you when you visit the library.

You may be able to join other faculty and departmental libraries, but you will need to check with them first and you will probably need to register when you get there. You will need to take your University Card with you. You can find library contact details, with information about access and borrowing, in the Libraries Directory.

If you are still unsure about any particular library’s rules for borrowing, contact staff at that library, and they’ll be happy to help.
